Nigerian Handball team jets out two days late

The technical director of the Handball Federation of Nigeria Musa Hamza has said that the delay the team encountered was as a result of some unforeseen circumstances they encountered at the Airport.
The director said that he knew the consequences of jetting out for a championship two days after the tournament begin but said that he is confident the boys are up to the task.
The Kano State handball team will represents Nigeria at the 35th African Handball Championships in Marakech, Morrocco.
“We encountered some challenges which contributed to our flight delay but the joy of it is that everything is now in order and our trip is confirmed.’’
“The coaches and doctor have been in camp with the players, having studied and identified the players' psychology and technical abilities, their presence will come in handy.”
Nigeria’s first game is on the fifth of October against Egypt and subsequently plays Tunisia and Libya in the preliminaries of the championship.
He told NAN that the last edition, the nation’s handball team came seventh in Tunisia in 2012.
